What The Fire Left Behind
February 19th, 2017
The fire is said to have started in the 2nd Fl living room area and spread to the kitchen area, or vice versa since those two rooms had the most damage. Despite the layer of ashes, the other rooms did not suffer structural damage since they were not damaged by fire but by the smoke and heat caused by it. When looking at what is left, most people would not show interest in the property, but we saw the fire damage gave us a wide range of options to start anew.
Washed Away by the Storm
August 7th, 2014
Hurricane Sandy was the deadliest, most destructive, and strongest hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. The storm caused nearly $70 billion (2012 USD) in damage and killed 233 people across eight countries from the Caribbean to Canada. Like many houses by the coast, this house was not safe from its wrath and wind. However, we see its potential, and we are excited
to start our most ambitious project as of date.
Impossible Dream Home
March 13th, 2013

"We bought the 84 years old house in 2004 with hopes of fixing it up to our liking while fulfilling our needs. But over time, the repairs list kept growing and growing until we could not keep up anymore. Once we realized that we would not be able to make it to the house of our dreams, we decided to list as-is. After almost a year of being in the market, American Housing Alliance gave us an offer we could not refuse. Without their help, who knows how much longer the house would have sat on the market and how more money we would had lost to it."

Haunted House Set
March 4th, 2021

The wall stains, cracked floor, ripped wallpaper, and thick layer of dust makes this property look like it could be a set used in a haunted film. However, we believe that a little TLC and a lot of repairs can transform this house into someone's dream home.
Endless Blights
September 26th, 2018
The previous owner bought this multi-family house knowing that it needed heavy repairs to make it
rentable and profitable. However, the endless blight
list from the city prevented them from moving forward with the repairs. Before they knew it, they had spent all the investment money in utilities and permits and had little money left to afford the mortgage payments,
and so they lost the house to foreclosure. All of this could have been prevented if that the previous owner had reached out to us. We would have bought the
house directly from them, and they could have recuperated some of the money they invested instead
of losing it all and damaging their credit score.
A Costly Legacy
June 20th, 2017
When most people inherit a property, their first thought is that they must keep it since it was the late's owner legacy. However, inheriting a property when one is already a homeowner or live out of a town is a big responsibility. Inheriting a property creates a lot of stress, especially when there is a mortgage involved. Should they get rid of their home and move into the inherited house? Or Should they try to rent it out?
But to whom? How can one afford double-utilities? Most heirs quickly learn that they sadly can't afford a second property. With this realization, they either sell the house or lose it to the bank. The previous homeowner sadly lost their mother's house to the bank.
After the Divorce
June 14th, 2016
After a divorce and severe medical issues, the previous owner could not afford the house while taking care of herself and her three daughters all by herself. She had no other option than to sell her single-family house and move to a smaller apartment. We bought the house as-is and will take care of the cleanup, so this single mother does not have to add any more stress to her life.
Unwanted Inheritance
August 21st, 2014
"After my mother passed away, I did not know what to do with her outdated house built in the late 1920s.
I could not keep it since I had my own house, and
I could not rent it without investing money I did not have, so I decided to sell it. Due to its condition,
I was afraid that no one would want to buy it, and I would end up stuck with the house, but American Housing Alliance gave me an offer within days of it being on the market."
"In 2006, I bought the property with the idea that it                                                                            would become the foundation of my real estate                                                                                  investment journey. But in just over three years,
I have come to realize that real estate investment
is not as easy as it seems and that being a landlord                                                                           can become too much for one single person. I have                                                                           come across some great tenants who always pay on                                                                          time and keep their units to the highest standards.                                                                              However, others are just the worst; I have to be on                                                                           top of them to get payments, and when I can finally                                                                           get them out, I end up having to re-do their units.
When I owned it, the commercial space was mostly empty since the house was a dead residential area, and I did not want to deal with the paperwork to change its zoning. Thus, the rent roll showed lowered income than it should have been, some investors even back out of the offer once they saw the numbers. But American Housing Alliance came and worked with me, they were there at every step of the process. Maybe one day in the future I can give it another try, but for now, I have learned that real estate investment is not for me."
